An anonymous group chat link, without the hype
tempchat.cool lets you start a group chat from a link with no sign-up and no phone number, and encrypts it end to end. That makes it private and low-profile, but not magically anonymous: people can still be identified by what they say or by their connection.
What you get
- No account, email or phone number for anyone, including the host.
- Messages, nicknames and the room name are encrypted in the browser, so we cannot read them.
- Rooms delete themselves, and we do not log or store IP addresses.
- Nicknames are chosen on the spot and not linked to anything.
What you do not get
- Protection from the people in the room: any of them can screenshot, copy or share what you write.
- Protection from your own connection: your internet provider and the services that route traffic can see that you connect to tempchat.cool. A VPN or Tor Browser can hide more.
- Proof of who someone is. Anyone can use any nickname.
Good habits
Share the link only with people you trust, add a password for sensitive rooms, use a short lifetime, and press Delete now when you are done. Do not put anything in a chat that would put you at risk if the other people shared it.

We see how many connections there are, not names. Nicknames are inside the encrypted messages.
